
European Association of Ships in Bottles
Events
The Association holds a Convention for its members every two years, providing an opportunity for members to meet, share ideas and enter their models in competitions.
Recently, conventions have been held at Robin Hood's Bay in North Yorkshire, at Enkhuizen in Holland, at Hartlepool, in Bristol, Portsmouth, Windermere, Gloucester, Barnstaple, Buckler’s Hard in Hampshire, Chatham Historic Dockyard, Great Yarmouth, and, pictured ( right ) the Marine Hotel, Whitstable, venue for our 2023 Convention in Sep[tember.


Pictured here, on the left member Roberto Scheitlin from Argentina who won the Labistour Shield for Best in Show at our 2023 Convention, President Alan Rogers is presenting Roberto with the trophy, also his certificate and medal.

Our 2025 Convention was held at Woodbridge in Suffolk at the Longshed, where a replica of the famous Sutton Hoo burial ship is being constructed. Our exhibition of ships in bottle models was on display to the public in the gallery all afternoon.
The venue for a future convention is still to be decided.
